Many people go about everyday life feeling emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves and others, and trapped in cycles and behaviours they do not fully understand. While on the outside they may appear put together and functioning well, internally they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, and confused as to how to move forward. If any of this speaks to you, you may think you are alone, but this is not the case.
My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and accepted for who they are, free from judgement so that you can let down your walls. In therapy, you aren’t expected to have all the answers; I will walk by your side to help navigate the challenges you face so that you are able to overcome them and flourish as your best self.
I am currently completing my Master of Science in Psychotherapy at McMaster University in Hamilton. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology and a minor degree in Family and Child Studies from the University of Guelph.
I have worked in the field of addictions services for the last three years as an addiction counsellor and program facilitator. These opportunities have shown me how our early childhood experiences influence our experiences later on in life. I’ve sat with individuals who were at their absolute lowest and walked by their side as they built themselves from the ground up, day-by-day. It was an honour to walk be part of their journey, and I would be grateful to be part of yours as well.
